Vacancy for Intern (Capacity Building and Database Management) (1) - For Women Only

HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal is a Swiss non-governmental organization that is actively contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal. Enhanced Skills for Sustainable and Rewarding Employment (ENSSURE) is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Switzerland and the Government of Nepal. The project is being implemented by the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and technically assisted by HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal. ENSSURE/HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal invites applications from interested Nepali citizens for internship opportunity in below sector.
Position: Intern (Capacity Building and Database Management) (1) - For Women Only
Duty Station:ENSSURE PSU, Bhaktapur (with 30% time in field visits in project area)
Internship purpose: Provide professional work exposure on skills and employment initiatives through workplace based learning and online database system.

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Rural Development, Management or any   
relevant disciplines. No prior job experience is required. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion and poverty reduction.

Keylearning Objectives:
  • To have general understanding on workplace based training approach like short courses with On-the-Job Training (OJT) and apprenticeship.
  • To understand ENSSURE’s capacity development and technical assistance
  • To be able to work on online-database system , maintain documentation and data recording by using the online tools.
  • To be able to manage and upgrade the roster of consultants, service providers and business/industry associations.
Duration: One year from the appointment date.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)

HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal is a Swiss non-governmental organization actively contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal. Safer Migration Project (SaMi) is a bilateral initiative of Government of Nepal (GoN) and Government of Switzerland. The overall goal of the project is safer and beneficial migration for women and men. The project is jointly implemented by Ministry of Labor and Employment and HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal.
SaMi/HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal, under the given mandates, is providing free-of-cost, short term vocational skills training to potential migrant workers who have decided to go for foreign employment. In order to select vocational skills training providers to manage skills training for Fiscal Year 2017/18, SaMi/HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal invites proposals from experienced, capable and eligible training providing organizations having their own fully-equipped training centers.

HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal invites applications from committed and experienced Nepali citizens for the following position.
Position: Executive Secretary
Job Purpose: This position is overall responsible for:
  • Secretarial support- Ensure the operation of an efficient, reliable and courteous secretarial service at the Country Office
  •  Coordination and communication - Act as the focal person for regional and international workshops and events managed by the Country Office
  • Human Resource Management assistance- Provide support in human resource management in the organization
Reporting to: Country Director
Required Education, Experience and Social Competence:
  • Bachelor’s degree (ideally in English literature). Master’s degree will be value added. Minimum three years of work experience in similar responsibility; Excellent English writing and editing skills required; Demonstrated skills of managing multiple tasks; Dependable and consistent. Committed towards gender equality, social inclusion and poverty reduction.

Vacancy announcement for District Project Coordinator

Nepal Agricultural Services Development Programme (NASDP) is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland and implemented by the HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal. It invites application from interested and committed Nepali citizens for the following positions:
Position: District Project Coordinator
Duty station: NASDP district office in Ramechhap
Job Purpose: The District Project Coordinator is responsible for overall coordination in programme implementation in the working Palikas of the district. The incumbent promotes decentralised and pluralistic extension and research system in the respective Palikas. S/He plays lead role in the capacity needs assessments of local service providers and farmer organisations, and in the facilitation of organising the required actions. S/He is responsible for strengthening district and Palika level stakeholder relations, collaboration and fund flow management. S/He supports the Cluster Coordinator in administrative and project management activities.
Reporting to: Cluster Coordinator (Okhaldhunga)
Required Education, Experience and Social Competency: Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture (BSc. Ag.) with at least 2 years relevant experience in agriculture extension and research. Master degree will be an advantage. Sensitivity towards issues related to gender equality, social inclusion and poverty reduction.
